What are 8-OH-HHC flowers?
8-OH-HHC flowers are buds of technical cannabis infused with 8-OH-HHC distillate.
8-hydroxy-hexahydrocannabinol, known as 8-OH-HHC, is a hydroxy derivative of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol).
This derivative is formed by oxidation of HHC in the presence of the liver enzyme cytochrome P450, which adds a hydroxyl group (-OH) at the 8th position of the hexahydrocannabinol nucleus.
Commercially available 8-OH-HHC products are obtained by chemical synthesis from HHC.
Research on the effects of 8-OH-HHC is still limited, but it is thought to act similarly to THC, HHC and other cannabinoids. However, the effects are likely to be less intense.
8-OH-HHC is psychoactive, which means that it can affect perception, induce feelings of euphoria, relaxation or increase appetite.
