What is CBG tea?
CBG tea is a drink containing the cannabinoid CBG (cannabigerol), which is considered the “mother cannabinoid”.

CBG tea vs CBD tea
Not all hemp teas are the same — they can differ in their composition and effects. CBD tea and CBG tea simply refer to teas made from hemp varieties rich in either CBD or CBG. Both contain 0 % or less than 0.2 % THC, so they are non-psychoactive.
CBD teas are already well known and widely available, while CBG teas are still quite rare. That’s because hemp naturally contains only small amounts of CBG, making these teas a newer addition to the market.
CBD is the major cannabinoid, which means that it appears in higher amounts in hemp, while CBG is a minor cannabinoid, its content in cannabis is naturally lower. Although they have the same molecular formula C21H30O2, their atoms are arranged differently — which means that they interact with endocannabinoid receptors in the body in different ways.
