What is HHC?

HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) is a cannabinoid that can be found naturally in the cannabis plant, but only in trace amounts, so it is currently produced semi-synthetically. HHC can be obtained by hydrogenating other cannabinoids such as THC or CBD. Another method to produce HHC involves the use of terpenes, such as olivetol or citronellal.

HHC has a lower affinity for the endocannabinoid receptor CB1 compared to THC, so it has psychoactive effects, but they are milder than THC.
