What are fungal skin infections and where do they most commonly occur?

Fungal infections, or mycoses, can affect the skin, hair and nails. If they affect the surface areas of the body, they are referred to as fungal skin infections. They often appear, for example, on the soles of the feet or between the toes.

Shared showers, changing rooms or wearing closed, sweaty footwear for long periods can also contribute to their spread. Skin fungi thrive particularly in warm and humid environments.

What ingredients might these products contain?
