Full Spectrum vs Distillate: What’s in Your Vape?

Shoppers see both words on cartridges and disposables and wonder which to pick. The difference is breadth versus purity.

Distillate: the precision tool

Distillation strips cannabis oil to near-pure THC (often 80-95%). Flavours are added terpenes, effects are clean and predictable, prices are lower. It is the default for flavoured disposables.

Full spectrum: the whole plant

Full-spectrum extracts (live resin, rosin, live rosin) keep the plant’s original terpene and minor-cannabinoid cast – CBG, CBN, CBC and more. Fans describe richer flavour and a more rounded effect, the so-called entourage effect. Expect higher prices and darker oil.

Quick answers

Which is stronger?

Distillate usually shows higher THC%; full spectrum often feels more complete. Choose by experience, not just numbers.

Can you tell them apart visually?

Often: distillate is pale and clear; full spectrum is amber to dark and thicker.
